‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ & ‘All Stars’ Greenlit for New Seasons by VH1

Start your engines, queens! New seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars are headed their way to VH1.

On Monday (Aug. 19), VH1 announced that both of the hit reality television programs had been greenlit for new seasons — Drag Race has been granted its twelfth season, while All Stars has been given the go-ahead for a fifth. The company did not reveal when either season could be expected on cable.

But Ru herself offered fans with a small hint. In a video announcing the good news, Ru, seated at the judges table on the set of Drag Race, said that fans should be excited to know that both of the new seasons will be "coming soon to VH1."

The news comes on the heels of the news that RuPaul's Drag Race and its various spinoff series (such as All Stars, Untucked & more) earned a whopping 14 Emmy nominations this year, including for Outstanding Competition Program, which the show won for the first time last year.
