"Music is significant to me as an actor," says Andy Karl.
The Broadway veteran, identified for his versatility (amongst different roles, he's performed Rocky in Rocky and Phil Connors in Groundhog Day, for which he acquired his most up-to-date Tony nomination), is at the moment taking part in rich businessman Edward Lewis within the blockbuster Pretty Woman: The Musical.

"When I want that 'sound' we use in our present, I flip to the person himself," says Karl of Adams, who co-wrote the music and lyrics for Pretty Woman. "Bryan Adams could be very distinctive and you'll hear his, and [co-composer/lyricist] Jim Vallance's fashion in Pretty Woman very clearly."

"Funky, chunky, make that cash! Like it or not, my character, to start with of the present, is quite a bit like Donald Trump within the enterprise sense. Money shouldn't be an object, and it’s all the facility one wants. Or is it?"

"Ah, Pavarotti!" Karl exclaims. A section of Verdi's traditional opera is utilized in Pretty Woman, and Edward is an opera lover. "His mom launched him to it, and later he introduces opera to Vin. It’s then that Edward watches her and utterly falls in love."
