RL Grime Drops ‘Halloween 8’ Mixtape With Intro From the Mayor of Flavortown: Listen

Trick or treat, funky buckers. RL Grime's got something for ya. It's sweeter than a pink Starbust, nuttier than a Snickers and darker than your mom's secret chocolate stash. The Sable Valley records head just dropped his Halloween 8 mix, a milestone that makes the annual series nearly as pervasive a tradition as the Halloween movie franchise (which plans to release its 13th and "final" edition in 2021).

The series' star-studded intros have become a favorite among fans, and this year's mix gets a drop from celebrity chef and "Mayor of Flavortown" Guy Fieri. He says the beats are "spicy," and he's not wrong. The DJ and producer started the RL project as a real trap demon, and this year's Halloween mix keeps to its roots with trunk-rattling beats from Brodinski, remixes of A$AP Rocky, Tay-K, Rick Ross and so many others. It's a full hour of evil tunes and madman attitude to make this Halloween the gnarliest ever.

The mix also features vocal samples from The Blair Witch Project, with special thanks to Vine star Foushee and children's horror author RL Stine. Where else are you gonna hear drum'n'bass, eerie noises, Dog Blood, and Megan Thee Stallion all in one place? Dig in to Halloween 8 with both vampire teeth below, and don't be surprised if you can't sleep for a week.
