Pop-soul artist JOHN.k has signed with Epic Records ahead of his upcoming EP release, the label announced on Thursday (April 25). Hailing from Orlando, JOHN.k has worked with producers like Rick Remedy and has been co-signed by Diplo.
“JOHN.k is the definition of blue-eyed soul,” said Joey Arbagey, Epic’s evp of A&R, in a statement. “His incredible vocal ability and infectious songs made him an easy fit for Epic Records. I couldn’t be more excited about the new music that he so passionately writes with his musical crew. One song in particular on his new EP titled 'If We Never Met' is the kind of song that makes me confident that John will have a long and successful artist career. He’s definitely going to make some noise and I couldn’t be more proud.”
"After multiple offers, there was no question after meeting with Syl Rhone and Joey Arbagey that [Epic Records] was our home,” said JOHN.k. “Their reputation alone brought a new energy to the project. They are both legends and music gurus who have experienced success through the years across all genres. The incredible team at Epic has welcomed us with high energy and enthusiasm since day one.”
The news comes just one day before the crooner is set to release his debut EP, featuring titular lead single “If We Never Met.”
