Without a doubt, one of the best electronic performances of Coachella 2019 was Polo & Pan. The self-proclaimed "French cruise directors" didn't need celebrity guest appearances or expensive stage tricks to cultivate a vibe. All they needed was an audience, some crowd-facing synths, and their love for the groove. The beautiful singer draped in tropical fabric didn't hurt.
Their blend of cheese and sophistication set to calypso, house and Riviera sounds was so joyous and captivating, people in the audience were heard saying "I need to film this so I can tell my grandchildren 'I was there.'" If you weren't, there's hope for you yet, because the smiling live performers will ride Coachella's electric current into a 22-date North American tour this fall.
Back in May of 2018, we named Polo & Pan Ones to Watch, and the breakout stars have more than lived up to the hype. Debut album Caravelle has been streamed more than 60 million times, and last year's worldwide tour sold out completely. If you want to nab tickets for this go-round, mark your calendar for Friday, April 26. Tickets will go on sale at 10 am local times. Spotify and credit card presales launch 10 am local time on Wednesday, April 24, for select shows.
