PnB Rock shared a close bond with XXXTentacion since the duo met making music prior to the rapper's June 2018 death. The Philly native looked to honor the late MC with their posthumous "Middle Child" collaboration, which originally landed on PnB's TrapStar Turnt PopStar debut. Rock returned to showcase that friendship with the lighthearted visual on Thursday (Aug. 8).
The clip finds miniature versions of PnB and XXX as kids joking around without a worry in the world. They put their brains together to host their own Trap Juice stand for $5 a pop in the front yard. Today's version of Rock does make an appearance toward the end, where he's shown throwing up the "X" with his arms in tribute to his lost buddy. "I miss my bro!" PnB Rock told Complex. "I wanted this music video to make me smile."
The 27-year-old even got XXX's mother's stamp of approval to go ahead with the visual. "PnB and his team did a wonderful job bringing this visual to life and honoring Jahseh in a way that would have made him proud," said Cleopatra Bernard.
