PineappleCiti is all in with Red Bull Records. After inking a partnership with their distribution branch, Billboard learned on Thursday (Oct. 24) that Citi has signed on with Red Bull Records as the latest addition to their growing roster of artists. With the new deal now in her rear-view, the New Jersey-bred rapper has plenty of music in store come 2020.
“My decision to sign with Red Bull Records was informed by the amazing family vibe of the team,” says PineappleCiti. "They really believe in my music, my brand and are willing to take this journey with me for all the right reasons. The entire A&R team, Greg Hammer and label staff made me feel right at home immediately."
With the label already familiar with her growing catalog, the decision to bring the "Issues" artist onboard was an easy one. "A dynamic songwriter, singer and rapper, PineappleCiti is truly a triple-threat and we are thrilled to be working with her at Red Bull Records,” states managing director of Red Bull Records, Greg Hammer. "We look forward to working with PineappleCiti and assisting her on a path to breakout success."
The NeonBlue artist launches into her next era of music searching for validation with the woozy "Recognize." Ultimately, she believes what's to come will arrive at the perfect time. "I remember days when I was hopeless/ I just need time to focus/ Came up from the bottom and you know this," she rhymes.
"I been at this music sh–t for years and went through every set back imaginable. But everything I’ve been through got me to where I am right now," she reflected in a candid post to Instagram earlier this week. "I can’t wait to show the world what Jersey’s made of. To anybody who’s ever had a dream. Don’t ever give up. God can change your life at any second."
