Panic! at the Disco's 'Pray for the Wicked' Set for No. 1 Debut on Billboard 200 Chart

Panic! at the Disco’s new album, Pray for the Wicked, is on track to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters. Sources suggest the set, which was released on June 22 DCD2/Fueled by Ramen, may start atop the list with more than 165,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 28.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums the week based on multimetric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 the July 7-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Panic! could debut at No. 1) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, June 30.

If Pray debuts at No. 1, it will garner Panic! at the Disco its second chart-topper, following the act’s last studio effort, Death a Bachelor, which launched atop the list dated Feb. 6, 2016. It opened with 190,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week, according to Nielsen Music.

Pray was led by the hit single “Say Amen (Saturday Night),” which just earned Panic! its first No. 1 on the Alternative Songs airplay chart (dated June 30), as it climbs 2-1 in its 14th week on the tally.

Other albums aiming for significant debuts on next week’s Billboard 200 include: Dan + Shay’s self-titled set, Nine Inch Nails’ Bad Witch and Bebe Rexha’s Expectations.
