74

Tuesday (June 12) marks the second anniversary the Pulse nightclub shooting, the deadliest incident violence against LGBTQ people in U.S. history and a particularly devastating tragedy for the queer latinx community in Orlando, FL.

The city has since worked to pick themselves back up over the past two years. LGBTQ rights groups have raised millions dollars in support the victims and their families, local community organizations have established new educational resource centers for queer youth, and plans have been set to turn the site the nightclub into a memorial by 2020.

The memory that night will not be forgotten, many refusing to let the joyful spirit those who lost their lives vanish. On Tuesday, celebrities and politicians took to social media to remember the tragedy.
