One Republic made a huge "connection" with fans when they stopped by the TODAY Show this morning (July 13).

The Grammy-nominated band arrived early this morning to perform their set as a part the ongoing Citi Summer series on the show. They began their set with an energetic performance their 2013 hit "Counting Stars." Lead singer Ryan Tedder started slow with the track's signature intro, before the song burst into its more fast-paced rhythm, pumping up the early-rising fans for the rest the concert.

The band then went into their new high-energy single, "Connection." Tedder began singing on the stage before making his way down to dance with fans and dole out high-fives.

For the last song their set, One Republic scaled back and slowed down for "Apologize." Tedder took a turn at the piano as he gave a soulful performance the classic tune, ending with powerful vocal runs before ending on a st and sweet note.
