NLE Choppa Pushes ‘Me Vs. Me’ Album With ‘Stompin’ & ‘Trap Phone’ Music Videos

As NLE Choppa continues to push his latest mixtape Me Vs. Me, the Memphis, Tennessee native rolled out two new music videos from the project for the tracks “Stompin” and “Trap Phone” on Monday (January 31) and Wednesday (February 2).

Thematically, the videos are polar opposites of each other. “Stompin” is a relatively lighthearted affair, with Choppa at one point flying around the sky as Batman and Peter Pan, and then assuming the role of a butcher as he uses both a meat tenderizer and butcher’s knife to cut and pound some raw meat. He also recreates the iconic hypnosis scene from Get Out.

As for “Trap Phone,” Choppa plays it straight as he raps and dances with his friends and flexes his expensive jewelry.

Me Vs. Me was released on Friday (January 28) and features appearances from G Herbo, Young Thug, Polo G and Moneybagg Yo. According to HITS Daily Double, the album is expected to move 20,000 copies its first week, making it suitable for a No. 16 debut on the Billboard 200, which Choppa claimed as a victory.

“Big W, My first Album Sold 36K First Week And Is Now Currently GOLD,” he wrote in response to a tweet from Akademiks reporting his sales projections. “This Is A Mixtape I’m Grateful For What I Have I’m In Competition With No One This Is Perfect For Me My Plaque Still Coming, Watch.”

The “Shotta Flow” rapper’s tweet comes days after he claimed Me vs. Me to be one of the best projects to come out in January alongside Gunna’s DS4Ever.

“Me and @1GunnaGunna had the hardest tapes of January if you disagree you simply haven’t took the time out to listen to mine #MeVsMe,” he claimed.
