NFL Pegs Emerging Artist SASH to Kick Off ‘Songs of the Season’ Series

The NFL's Inspire Change initiative kicked off this week through the league's Songs of the Season series, which has tapped SASH's woozy "What Would A Champion Do?" to get things started on Monday (Sept. 30).

"To see ‘What Would A Champion Do?’ being used at the highest level is incredible, especially as an independent artist," the New York-based artist said. "This entire song was made by just me and my little brother — that’s as independent as it gets, and I think it’s important to see independent artists reach this sort of platform. I’ve been inspired by music all my life, and the reason I make music is to inspire others."

All proceeds from the 19-year-old's track will directly go toward benefitting aspects of the community in education and economic advancement, police and community relations, as well as criminal justice reform. "What Would A Champion Do?" was used in pre- and post-game coverage across CBS, FOX, and ESPN networks broadcasting NFL games over the weekend.
