HipHopDX – One thing to count on each week is HipHopDX running through the best new music each and every Friday. Today’s edition of New Music Friday rounds up the best singles for the week ending on Friday (October 15).

Lil Durk has ensured his presence on Dr. Dre’s Beats By Dre campaign with a new sliding anthem in “Pissing Me Off.” Meanwhile, Maxo Kream dropped the impassioned and weaving “GREENER KNOTS,” and R&B songstress Summer Walker linked with City Girls’ JT for “Ex For A Reason.”

This week also brought new singles from Lil Reese and Young Dolph, Key Glock, LIFEOFTHOM and more, so keep reading for DX‘s complete coverage below.

Summer Walker f. JT – “Still Over It”

Summer Walker tapped City Girls’ JT for “Ex For A Reason,” a Hip Hop and R&B crossover from two of the genres’ leading ladies. Elsewhere, JT is a constant fixture of Hip Hop, from her extravagant relationship with Lil Uzi Vert to her explosive City Girl anthems. “Still Over It” combines the best from Walker and JT, as the two come together to acknowledge what they are owed, and laugh at the unworthy men from their past.

Lil Durk – “Pissed Me Off”

Key Glock – “Da Truth”

Paper Route Empire’s very own Key Glock is gearing up for his Yellow Tape 2 and he’s proclaiming to be “Da Truth” while at it. The original project topped Billboard’s independent album chart so there are standards that need to be met.

Trap Manny f. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie – “Tap Out”

Maxo Kream – “GREENER KNOTS”

Don’t sleep on Maxo Kream. The Houston rapper has long been dropping chopped and screwed bangers, but his storytelling skills are also bulletproof, evidenced by his latest single “GREENER KNOTS.” The winding narrative of “GREENER KNOTS” arrives with the announcement of Weight of the World, his first album in two years.

YNW BSlime f. NLE Choppa – “Citi Trends”

NLE Choppa claims to have the cure for many a concoction but for the young YNW BSlime’s new single, he has the antidote for melodic balance. Also, DJ’s on the beat so you know issa banger.

Lil Reese f. Young Dolph – “Show Us Some”

Although it’s been a rough week for Chicago’s O’Block neighborhood, Lil Reese reminds all he still has mic presence on his grim new record with Memphis mayor Young Dolph.

2WIN f. Young Nudy – “ROCK OUT”

serpentwithfeet – “Down Nuh River”

The only thing “snakey” about the Brooklyn alt-Hip Hop musician is the way he smoothly slinks across tracks — like this smooth kickoff to his upcoming EP, DEACON’s Grove.
