Fans quickly took note of YoungBoy’s advance as his comment boasts over 24,000 likes and nearly 1,500 replies. There is some history between the two artists as NBA YoungBoy invited Kehlani to collaborate on “My Go To,” from his latest album The Last Slimeto, in August.
“Let’s go up, let’s go up, let’s go down / Let’s run it back up, let’s mile high club, let’s show out, yeah / Let’s get fucked up, get a big black truck, slut me all night,” Kehlani sings on the sultry track.
If YoungBoy is serious about pursuing Kehlani, he might want to wait until he’s a free man. The 22-year-old rapper has been serving house arrest in Utah since October 2021, although he’s currently looking to have his house arrest lifted after being acquitted of gun charges in Los Angeles in July.
Kehlani, meanwhile, is currently dating fellow songbird 070 Shake. The couple put their relationship on full display in the former’s “Melt” video in May, which found them kissing, sharing laughs and taking photos of one another.
“happy birthday my heart,” Kehlani wrote on Instagram the following month while sharing a slideshow of romantic moments. “6 years of friendship almost 1 year of love. nothing i say in a caption could explain or compare. you’re one in a million Dani. i love you [ring emoji] my very best friend.”
NBA YoungBoy isn’t shy when it comes to his attempts at wooing his musical peers. He previously shot his shot at Doja Cat last year and admitted he’d “marry” her if he wasn’t a father of seven with a family.
“Boy, if I ain’t have a family, if I ain’t have a girl upstairs, I would be tryin’ to marry Doja Cat,” he told Akademiks on Clubhouse. “Fuck you talking about, man. You know I be tryin’. But nah, I got my little girl and her mama upstairs, so I ain’t fucking around like that.”
