Mustard took over Power 106's Liftoff Edition concert festival on Saturday night (May 18) with a dynamic headlining set. In the midst of his performance, Mustard announced that his highly anticipated album Perfect 10 will be released on June 28.
The album artwork, which features a profile image of his son, was also revealed on a large screen.
"I'm doing this s–t for LA!" he said after introducing the album. "We the best to ever do it."
Although no specifics were given as to which artists might be featured on the album, it's safe to assume that it will be filled with star-powered collaborations like other projects Mustard has worked on. As the main headliner of the Power 106 Liftoff Edition event, Mustard brought out many surprise guests to assist, including YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and Dom Kennedy.
In an interview backstage after the performance, Mustard told Billboard that his new album will have "A lot of anthems," and that "all of [his] friends are on it."
Recently, Mustard made references to creating summer anthems on his Instagram account, saying "I am the summer trust me I got us! Anthems on anthems on my album."
Mustard seems like he's already gotten a head start in the song of the summer race. The producer's hit single “Pure Water” featuring Migos dropped in January of this year, and has risen as high as No. 24 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Mustard's most recent single, "100 Bands," featuring Quavo, 21 Savage, YG and Meek Mill dropped on May 10, and gives listeners a taste of what to expect from his upcoming effort.
