Missy Elliott and Zedd took to Twitter on Thursday night (July 12) to gush over a pair eye-catching artists who covered their songs on The Four.
Newcomer Noah Barlass shocked the show's judges with a stripped-back performance Zedd's mega-hit “The Middle.” Showing f his seemingly limitless vocal range, Barlass took control the stage and brought tears to the eyes several audience members.
Zedd, after being tagged in the video's comments dozens times, gave the contestant a stamp approval on Twitter. “Damn…. what a crazy voice. I approve,” he wrote.
In a much more explosive, fearless performance, Sharaya J once again proved to the world that nothing — certainly not breast cancer and chemotherapy — can hold her back with her fiery cover Missy Elliott's “She's a Bitch.” Everything about the performance, including her flaming red outfit complete with a tribal henna tattoo design on her head, was a fitting tribute to Elliott and her signature style.
Elliott kept her reaction simple, but got her point across all the same by using the fire emoji multiple times in her tweet.
The Four airs on Fox at 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Check out the performances and artists' reactions below.
