Michelle Obama Praises "Black Panther" On Twitter

This past weekend, fans finally got to watch Marvel’s highly anticipated Black Panther film. The hype around the film has been major for over a year now and for most people, it seemed well worth it. After finally being released to theaters this weekend, the general public has been able to chime in on whether the movie lived up to the hype and from what people are saying on the Internet, it definitely did. One person who seems to have high praises for the film is the former First Lady.

Michelle Obama took to Twitter to give her praises to Black Panther. She took to Twitter to share her appreciation for the film and its crew for making a film that showcases diversity and that she believes will help inspire others in their life.

“Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team! Because you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen. I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes their own stories.” She wrote.

Michelle Obama isn’t the only one that feels this way, surely. The film broke box fice records and made over $192M over its opening weekend and is slated to reach $218M for its four day box fice total.

In addition, its soundtrack has also made a large impact. The Kendrick Lamar curated soundtrack reached number 1 on the Billboard charts within its first week.
