Meghan Trainor Rises Above The Pack in ‘Wave’ Watch

On Monday (Oct. 7), Meghan Trainor unveiled the video for her latest single, “Wave.”
In the clip, the singer finds herself amidst a crowd of dancing revelers, all clad in varying neutral tones. As the dancers form a giant pyramid, Trainor appears at the top in a dramatic organza-sleeved gown, dictating the fluid movement of the mass below to the beat of the song.
“Take me like a wave/ Pull me back and forth/ Crash into my arms/ Tell me I am yours/ Take me like a wave,” she sings before handing off the second verse to producer Mike Sabath, who crowdsurfs as he delivers his processed vocals.
“Wave” follows recent singles “Genetics,” “All the Ways” and 2018’s “No Excuses” as the latest track off her long-awaited third studio album, Treat Myself, which is expected to be released some time in 2020 following a number of delays and shifting release dates.
