Maren Morris stopped to speak with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly on the crimson carpet at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Gala on Saturday (Feb. 9), speaking in regards to the success of her tune “The Middle,” performing with Taylor Swift, and what music is at the moment on her music playlist.
Asked if she ever imagined that “The Middle” was going to be so successful, Morris tells Billboard, “When I heard it, I knew that it was so catchy and infectious. Sarah Aarons, who wrote the tune, I simply fell in love along with her voice on the demo, and I knew that I needed to be part of it.”
“Thank God I received on it as a result of it was such a enjoyable 12 months with it,” she provides. “I received to go to South America and Australia and Europe and everybody knew the phrases. It was loopy.”
