Maggie Rogers Captivates with Vibrant Performance of ‘Burning’ on ‘Late Show’: Watch

Maggie Rogers rocked the stage on The Late Show on Tuesday evening (Jan. 22) with a vibrant, unfastened efficiency of “Burning" from her lately launched debut album, Heard It in a Past Life.

Wearing a flowy, mustard yellow pantsuit, Rogers was accompanied by her funky band and home band chief Jon Batiste, who helped propel the high-spirited pop tune alongside on his mini grand piano. The Maryland native commanded the stage as she did a loose-limbed dance, enthusiastically dancing to the track's insistent groove, singing, "And you mentioned, let me make it easier to wake you up/ Let me make it easier to break you up/ Let me make it easier to open up/ I'm in love, I'm alive, oh, I'm burning."

Warm tones and blazing solar photos rising on the background screens set the temper for the feel-good anthem.
