Back in November, Danish pop group Lukas Graham recorded a pair of stripped-down studio tracks at Spotify's Swedish headquarters: their 2018 single "Love Someone" and a canopy of XXXTentacion's "Sad!" On Friday, these periods went reside and, unsurprisingly, the latter acquired some criticism. On Wednesday (Jan. 30), Lukas Graham took to Instagram to announce that the XXXTentacion cowl had been scrubbed from Spotify.
"Our cowl of SAD will likely be taken down ASAP," frontman Lukas Forchhammer wrote. "I had no information of his violent historical past. I’m very sorry for the ache I’ve prompted. Again, I’m very sorry."
XXXTentacion, whose actual title was Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed on June 18, 2018, in Deerfield Beach, Fla., on the age of 20. At the time of his dying, he confronted many authorized expenses, together with aggravated battery of a pregnant lady, home battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering. In October, the Miami-Dade County state lawyer’s workplace shared recordings of XXXTentacion ostensibly confessing to quite a few violent crimes.
Warner Bros. Records had no extra touch upon the tune's elimination.
