Listen to Taking Back Sunday’s ’90s-Focused #TBT Mixtape

Welcome to #TBT Mixtape, Billboard's series that showcases artists' very own throwback-themed playlists exclusive to Billboard's Spotify account. The curated set features the artists' favorite tracks from their youth and childhood.

This week's spin comes from Taking Back Sunday. The alt-rockers -- comprised of vocalist Adam Lazzara, guitarist John Nolan, drummer Mark O'Connell and bassist Shaun Cooperare -- are currently in the midst of a year-long nostalgia blitz celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band, which kicked off with the January release of their latest LP Twenty. The career-spanning compilation paid tribute to their lengthy catalog, with two brand new tracks tacked on and a sweeping North American tour, which runs through November and closes with a raucous two-night bash at New York City's Terminal 5 (Nov. 15-16).

To further toast their two decades in the biz, the group's guitarist Nolan crafted this week's #TBT Mixtape as an ode to the best of the '90s, and featuring tracks by Built To Spill, Pavement, Fiona Apple and more.

"All of the songs on this playlist are more or less from the years 1991-2001. I listened to music incessantly during that time period and I could’ve made a much longer playlist covering a lot more genres and artists from that time," he tells Billboard. "But for your sake and mine, I kept it more focused on the music that I feel has had a noticeable influence on me as a songwriter and musician. I love all these songs and I have a connection to them that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I hope you enjoy listening to them."
