Lil Wayne Says He Needs A ‘Wife’ – But What Happened To Model Denise Bidot?

Lil Wayne’s romantic life continues to be shrouded in mystery. In April 2021, he suggested he’d married plus-size model Denise Bidot with a tweet that read, “Happiest man alive! Today is the beginning of our forever. Forever?? Forever, ever?? FOREVER EVER!!! The Carters.”

But in an interview with Nicki Minaj the following July, Lil Wayne claimed he was simply referencing his sons’ group, telling Nicki, “I did not get married. I said ‘The Carters,’ and girl, that’s my damn sons, that’s my sons’ little name of their little group.”

Adding even more confusion to Wayne’s relationship status, the multi-platinum rapper has put out the Bat Signal for a spouse. On Friday (January 28), the typically elusive artist tweeted, “I need a wife man I’m getting too wealthy. Stfu.”

Some people were understandably confused by Lil Wayne’s sentiments and wondered what happened to his relationship with Bidot. Neither party has confirmed a split, but Bidot hasn’t shared a photo of Weezy since September 2021 when they were celebrating his 39th birthday.

“Happy birthday to my favorite human on this or any planet,” she wrote at the time. “You’ve been my teacher, friend and the greatest love of my life. Cheers to you @liltunechi . You truly are the goat. (ps- these are old pics but his smile here).”

Lil Wayne has an extensive dating history, beginning with his first love Toya Johnson who met the 13-year-old Wayne in New Orleans when she was 12. She became pregnant with their daughter Reginae Carter two years later. By this time, Wayne had already signed to Cash Money Records and dove headfirst into his career in an effort to support his child.

Johnson and Wayne eventually married in 2004 but according to Heavy, Johnson couldn’t deal with his celebrity lifestyle which came with other women.

“Wayne is the type who likes to have his cake and eat it, too,” she said. “So we were together, but that didn’t stop him from doing what he had to do and I wasn’t happy with that. A person can only take so much.”

The couple eventually divorced in 2006 but remain good friends. Wayne has also been romantically linked to Christina Milian, Trina, Lauren London (whom he has a son with) and Keri Hilson, among many others.
