Following the song’s release, fans on social media weighed in on who had the best verse of the four. During Friday’s episode of Young Money Radio on Apple Music, Jack asked Weezy who he thought outshined the rest, and Wayne gave the honors to Tory Lanez.
“I ain’t gon’ front, bruh, Tory went crazy,” said Tunechi. “I guess I don’t wanna say I had any expectations but I know Tory and I know the look he be wanting and I know sometimes he don’t get that look from everybody, he don’t get that ear from everybody. So when he get a good look and he get a good ear, I love that for him.”
Jack agreed, adding, “His verse was hard.”
He then asked Wayne what he thought of his verse. “Did you get to hear my verse? You sure about Tory being the best one?” said Jack.
Wayne tried to deflect, adding, “I’m giving the man, props, man. That’s why I kinda excluded the rappers out of the whole little question. I took me, you, and Baby out of it. Let Tory have that lane.”
Jack said that getting Wayne on the remix was “a big notch off my bucket list” and revealed that they plan to shoot a video next week in Miami. The original song is currently No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
On Friday’s episode of Young Money Radio, Wayne also welcomed special guests including Usher, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Anuel AA, Mannie Fresh, and Juelz Santana, who called in from prison.
