The father-son duo hit the studio this week to record an unnamed new track.
Liam Gallagher is getting a little help from his son Gene on his next album. On Wednesday (March 20), the veteran rocker posted an Instagram photo of the 17-year-old working with him in the recording studio.
“Gene laying down some bongos on my new tune as you were LG x,” Gallagher captioned the black-and-white snap, referencing the title of his 2017 debut solo album, As You Were, in the post.
The former Oasis frontman has been teasing his follow-up to As You Were since last year, regularly offering hints about the LP’s progress Twitter and Instagram.
While an official release date or any additional details have yet to be announced, producer Andrew Wyatt shared footage in the studio with Gallagher in a now-deleted Instagram story back in January, and just last week, the rocker tweeted to a fan that the album would be finished in “a few more weeks.”
Meanwhile, contributing to his dad’s album isn’t Gene’s only musical endeavor: In October, the younger Gallagher announced he had formed rock band Grimmo alongside friends Cody Grimaldi and Alf Carroll.
