LCD Soundsystem Teams Up With 'Last Jedi' Director for New 'Oh Baby' Watch

In a galaxy far, far-off, LCD Soundsystem and The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson have teamed as much as create the New York City legends' latest music video, for "Oh Baby." Released completely on Tidal on Thursday (Sept. 20), the tune is the opening monitor from the group's 2017 comeback album American Dream.  

The clip stars iconic actors Sissy Spacek and David Strathairn as scientists who're within the midst of growing a teleportation system and embarking “on a devastatingly romantic journey of discovery, tragedy and everlasting love” till they're hit by tragic circumstances.

In an announcement, LCD Soundsystem’s frontman James Murphy stated of the video, “My aim can be that it really works as a video for the tune and the tune works as soundtrack of the movie. Rather than a video that serves the tune.” 

 

While the video is unique for Tidal subscribers for now, you'll be able to watch a preview beneath due to Columbia Records.
