Latin Trap Singer Bryant Myers Rescued From Kidnapping


UPDATE: It has been reported that Bryant Rohena Pérez and his mother have been transferred out Puerto Rico for security reasons. The Puerto Rican police also reported that the FBI has taken control the investigation for the type kidnappings, weapons used during the incident and that during the persecution there were exchanges gunfire.

At the time the abduction, Bryant Myers and his mother were in front a basketball court located in the Loma Alta neighborhood Carolina, where four armed men forced them to get into a white Kia while a subject took the singer’s  BMW. During the crossing, Myers was able to flee the vehicle, while his mother was abandoned in another location.

No suspect has been arrested so far.

Latin trap singer Bryant Myers and his mother were rescued safely after being kidnapped by several men armed with rifles in Carolina, Puerto Rico, Billboard has confirmed.

A representative Myers' management team confirmed to Billboard that the singer had been abducted at approximately 7 p.m. local time on Tuesday. According to the local newspaper Primera Hora, the preliminary report from police indicates that when the suspects realized the police were chasing the BMW vehicle in which they were transporting Myers and his mom, they abandoned them near the area a municipal landfill in Carolina.

Bryant Myers is confirmed to perform at Soulfrito festival in New York on Friday, and he just returned from a European tour.
