In celebration of Pride month, Billboard hit the streets of New York City to find out how well people know the lyrics to some of the most iconic pride anthems out there, including Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out," Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," and RuPaul's "Supermodel (You Better Work)."
Dubbing June “the gayest, most wonderful time of the year,” host Jake Cornell first asks participants to complete some lines from Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out.” Players generally ace the chorus, and one guy calls it a “classic anthem.”
Next is Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” which results in quite a bit of gushing over Mother Monster, as well as a handful of heartfelt, enthusiastic singalongs.
Finally, partakers are tested on the words to RuPaul’s “Supermodel (You Better Work),” including the line “Work (supermodel)/ You better work it, girl (Of the world)/ Wet,” which results in some incorrect answers, including one that is definitely too dirty to repeat here, as well as a few demonstrations how to wet your lips and "make love to the camera."
In true supermodel fashion, the video ends with a compilation of fierce runway walks that RuPaul would certainly be proud of.
