A Drake and Kodak Black collaboration could soon be on the horizon — better yet, collaborations.

Speaking at a press conference promoting his inaugural Kodak Black Day festival on Friday (June 10), the Pompano Beach, Florida native teased the prospect of dropping a joint album with the 6 God, with whom he’s recorded a trove of material.

“Me and Drake, we got so much music,” he said. “It’s really on, like, whenever bruh might feel like he be ready and stuff. Or when he be like, ‘We gon’ drop the album, we gon’ do this or we gon’ do [that].’ It’s really on him. We got a lot of songs, though.”

Drake and Kodak Black have yet to appear on a song together, but the bond between them has been brewing for some time. Drizzy gave the “Super Gremlin” rapper’s career an early boost in 2015 when he played “SKRT” on his OVO Sound Radio show and was seen dancing to the song in a viral video.

Earlier this year, Drake crowned Kodak a modern-day G.O.A.T. and gifted him $300,000 in Bitcoin to give him a leg-up in the cryptocurrency world. “Drake and I do a lot behind the scenes talking and shit,” Kodak told The Breakfast Club.

A full-length project between the two would mark Drake’s second collaborative album following 2015’s What a Time To Be Alive with Future, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified platinum. Joint projects with Kanye West and Rick Ross have also long been rumored.

Kodak Black is no stranger to sharing the spotlight either having joined forces with fellow Florida native Plies for the F.E.M.A. mixtape in 2017. He also headlined the Sniper Gang compilation albums Baptized N Blood and Syko Bob & Snapkatt: Nightmare Babies.

Elsewhere during his Kodak Black Day press conference, Kodak Black discussed his recent cameos on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and forthcoming solo project Guns N’ Roses.

“I appreciate that boy [for] acknowledging me and all that. He a Gemini like me, I just know he a real one,” he said, before adding, “I’m finna drop that Guns N’ Roses next.”

Commemorating the rapper’s 25th birthday, Kodak Black Day was held in his hometown of Pompano Beach and boasted performances from the likes of Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee and the birthday boy himself.
