Kodak Black Admits He Was ‘A Lil Upset’ At Baby Girl News: ‘I Wanted A Boy’

Kodak Black recently discovered he’s about to become a father for the third time, but the news is somewhat bittersweet for the Pompano Beach native.

Earlier this week, Kodak and his baby mother-to-be, 25-year-old Daijanae Ward, threw a gender reveal party in Florida, where they learned in front of family and friends that they’re expecting a baby girl. Their unborn child’s gender was revealed via a car burnout, which produced pink smoke from the car’s tires.

Just days later, however, the “Super Gremlin” rapper revealed his slight disappointment at the news. Taking to Instagram on Thursday (February 24), Yak admitted he wishes their baby was a boy — especially having just welcomed his first daughter with another woman last month.

“I Wore Blue & Pink To Be Neutral About Everything Even Tho I Wanted A Boy Kuz I Just Had a Daughter In January,” he wrote while sharing photos from the gender reveal party. “I Was A Lil Upset When That Pink Smoke Came Out But It Is What It Is I Know We’ll Produce A Beautiful Healthy Baby !!!”

Despite his disappointment at not producing a son, Kodak remains committed to raising his and Ward’s daughter, who they’ve already named Kapri.

“To Be Honest I Was Suppose To Have Two Daughters Anyways For My Legacy !!!” he added. “King , Queen , Princess & Prince. The Next One Gone Be A Boy tho. NO MATTER WHAT I WOULD FOREVER LOVE ALL MY KIDS THE SAME.”

Kodak Black, who already has a 7-year-old son from a previous relationship, spoke about his desire to have another boy during his interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club earlier this week.

“I told [my baby mother] last night, ‘You know what? If it’s a boy, I’ma be your boyfriend,’” he said. “‘If it’s a girl, I’m just gonna be your baby daddy.’”

To which Charlamagne Tha God replied, “Man, if you don’t stop this shit, Kodak!”

Kodak Black may not be looking to settle down with Kapri’s mother, but he’s already decided on who his daughter’s godfather will be: BMF star and the son of Black Mafia Family co-founder Big Meech, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.
