In the wake of the death of his friend and contemporary design icon Virgil Abloh, Kid Cudi is stepping into the world of fashion.
On Tuesday (March 1), Kid Cudi briefed his 2.8 million Twitter followers with the plans he has in place to debut his new fashion label, MEMBERS OF THE RAGE, later this year during the Paris Fashion Week Men’s runway shows.
“The first collection of MEMBERS OF THE RAGE will debut in Paris in June,” he wrote. “Im mad excited for u all to see what I’ve been workin on and the full scope and quality of the brand.”
At the SAG Awards last month, Kid Cudi paid homage to deceased Louis Vuitton artistic director Virgil Abloh with a head-to-toe look showcasing the late fashion tastemaker’s beloved designs — which included the cult favorite OFF-WHITE Nike Air Jordan one shoes in Abloh’s native Chicago colorway.

Virgil Abloh actually designed the dress Kid Cudi wore during his Saturday Night Live Performance last June, and the Man On The Moon III: The Chosen lyricist also paid his respects by sharing their final text thread in which he expressed how thankful he was to have Abloh in his life days ahead of his final Louis Vuitton fashion show in Miami.
Kid Cudi fans could have a chance to get their hands on one of the first official MEMBERS OF THE RAGE t-shirts on March 7 during the Cleveland MC’s augmented reality performance on Encore — the live streaming music app he co-founded with How To Make It In America creator Ian Edelman and former Facebook software engineer Jonathan Gray.
The “Tequila Shots” rapper also explained how users of the Encore app could win an all-expenses-paid trip, and exclusive meet and greet for themselves and a friend to attend a date at his upcoming tour during his upcoming performance.
“Hey Cud Fam!! Got some tasty news for u!” he wrote. “The person w the most claps at my show on March 7th on Encore will recieve an all expenses paid trip to one of my tour dates this year for you and a friend, and we’ll also meet after the show!! Sign up now!”
