Katy Perry Says She's Ready to Take a Step Back: 'I'm Not Going to Go Straight Into Making Another Record'


Katy Perry has revealed plans to take a step again from music following the conclusion of Witness: The Tour.

“I’ve been on the street for like 10 years, so I’m simply going to sit back. I’m not going to go straight into making one other document," Perry mentioned in an Oct. eight cowl story interview with Footwear News. "I really feel like I’ve performed loads. I really feel like I’ve rung the bell of being a pop star very loudly, and I’m very grateful for that.”


After figuring out she wished to be a singer since she was 9 years outdated, Perry devoted all of her time between then and now on honing her craft, however now not appears like she's in a contest. "I like making music, I like writing," she mentioned. "But I don’t really feel like I’m part of a recreation anymore. I simply really feel like I’m an artist. I don’t really feel like I've to show something, which is a releasing feeling.”
