Kanye West Returns With New Album ‘Jesus Is King’: Stream It Now

Just when you thought Kanye West was playing hide and seek with his new album Jesus Is King, on Friday (Oct. 25) at noon ET, Yeezy stormed back into the race with his ninth solo studio album.

Back in September, sources told Billboard that West would no longer release JIK at the time after weeks of fan build-up. Last year, West left his devotees high and dry after teasing his then hotly-anticipated effort, Yandhi. The New York Times' Joe Coscarelli reported that West was in Wyoming trying to push his album across the elusive finish-line, sparking the project's delay.

On Wednesday (Oct. 23), Ye brought the spiritual energy to Los Angeles’ The Forum to preview the album and premiere the accompanying IMAX film, converting the arena into an indoor field with tall grass.

The album comes on the heels of another announcement, that the rapper will be releasing another album, his Sunday Service-inspired Jesus Is Born, on Christmas Day.
