Kanye West Pays Tribute to His Late Mother at Sunday Service With ‘Hey Mama’: Watch

Kanye West paid tribute to his later mother, Donda West, on Sunday (May 12) during a special Mother's Day edition of his Sunday Service series. According to reports, the fisheye-shaped livestream opened with West performing a version of his touching 2005 Late Registration track "Hey Mama" after the rapper walked out to Tupac's "Dear Mama."
It was, of course, particularly poignant choice for West, since his mother died in 2007 following complications from surgery and he and wife Kim Kardashian West welcoming their fourth child, surrogate, last week.
Back on Easter Sunday, West brought his service to Coachella for a special edition of his series that featured guest appearances from Chance The Rapper, DMX, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor, and Ty Dolla $ign.
