Kanye West and NFL star receiver Antonio Brown have been hanging out a lot ever since the Super Bowl champion left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the middle of a game a few weeks ago. Rumors have been swirling that the two were collaborating on a new business endeavor through Donda Sports, and now it looks like the partnership has been made official.

On Tuesday (February 1), Donda Sports issued a press release announcing that Antonio Brown has officially joined the company. According to the statement, Brown will help Kanye and social media personality Justin LaBoy by bringing “an athlete’s perspective to all areas of the organization.”

“Donda Sports was founded with the vision of providing holistic support to athletes during and beyond their sports career,” the statement read. “Donda Sports is a limitless organization centered on professional and wellness support in equal measure with the ambition to work with athletes across all genders, divisions and sports.”

Antonio Brown shed some light on his new Donda Sports partnership during an interview with Complex last month, revealing he and Kanye West are looking to revolutionize athlete fashion.

“We’re just excited about the Donda Sports brand, and making this thing a competitive sports brand to the athletes,” Brown said. “I don’t think there’s a lot of fashion lines for athletes, wearing fashionable and comfortable clothes, so with a guy like Kanye West, being able to partner with him and work with him to provide more creative, genius ideas for fashion looks for athletes in general.”

He added, “I’m just grateful for the opportunity here soon, to share what we’ve got with the world. And you guys are hearing it first, we got some exciting things to look forward to this year.”

Kanye’s Donda Sports is off to a great start, especially with the early buzz surrounding his basketball academy. Last month, Ye and his Donda Doves basketball team covered SLAM magazine’s 236th issue, making him only the second rapper to cover the respected basketball magazine after J. Cole.
