Kanye West & Drake’s Larry Hoover Concert Ticket Prices Make Donda Event Feel Like Charity

Fans contemplating attending Drake and Kanye West’s Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert on December 9th are facing the harsh reality of the ticket prices for the blockbuster, beef-squashing event.

In an Instagram post shared by DJ Akademiks on Saturday (November 27), the Off The Record podcast host highlighted the outrageous price range for tickets in the lower bowl section of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum — which fall just under $7,500 dollars without taxes and fees.

Fans quickly turned to Twitter to counsel each other the best options available, including one user who uncovered the baseline price for nosebleed seats for the show were starting at $200 dollars, with select seats going for a steep $1250 dollars on Ticketmaster.

Given the fact that both Drake and Kanye West managed to deliver two of the biggest releases this year between Certified Lover Boy and DONDA, which still paled in comparison to Adele’s 30 album, the price ranges for these tickets aren’t as bold as they seem — especially when also considering it’s a benefit concert meant to bring awareness to the incarceration of the co-founder of the Chicago Gangster Disciples gang, Larry Hoover.

Ye’s three-part DONDA album experience extravaganza also set forth an ostensibly high price-point precedent for the tickets to the listening event, merch sold at the event and even the concessions offered.

Former TMZ correspondent Van Lath-an took to Instagram on the night DONDA dropped and blasted Kanye by sharing a photo of the snack bar menu that included sweet and salty kettle corn for $35, an assorted snack basket of $65, crispy chicken tenders at $50 and cookies and brownies for $45.
