Justin Bieber Makes First Appearance on Country Charts With Dan + Shay Duet ‘10,000 Hours’

The song launches at No. 20 on Country Airplay & No. 40 on Hot Country Songs.

Pop superstar Justin Bieber makes his first appearance on a Billboard country chart, as his duet with Dan + Shay, "10,000 Hours," arrives on Country Airplay (dated Oct. 12) at No. 20 with 10.9 million audience impressions in the week ending Oct. 6, according to Nielsen Music.

Released Oct. 4, the song received hourly plays on its first day from participating iHeartMedia stations.

On the airplay-, streaming- and sales-based Hot Country Songs chart, "Hours," released on Warner Music Nashville/WAR, enters at No. 40, entirely from its first three days of airplay; it should surge on next week's survey following its first week of streaming and sales tracking (Oct. 4-10).

The track was co-written by Bieber, Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney), Jessie Jo Dillon, Jordan Reynolds and Jason "Poo Bear" Boyd. Smyers also produced the track, which introduces Dan + Shay's next album.

Dan + Shay are co-managed by Jason Owen and Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun. (Dan + Shay also attended the wedding celebration for Bieber and wife Hailey Baldwin on Sept. 30.)

Bieber, who first reached Billboard's charts in July 2009 (at age 15), boasts six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, six No. 1s on the Pop Songs airplay chart and five leaders on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber led Pop Songs for three weeks this July and August with his Ed Sheeran collab "I Don't Care."

Dan + Shay earn their highest debut among 10 Country Airplay entries, six of which have hit No. 1, including their most recent, "All to Myself," in August.

All charts will update Tuesday (Oct. 8) on Billboard.com.
