JP Saxe Explores Happy and Crappy Relationships in 'Both Can Be True: Part 1': Premiere

JP Saxe falls out and in of affection in his new launch Both Can Be True: Part 1, comprised of the 2 singles “Blurry” and “25 in Barcelona,” premiering completely on Billboard in the present day (Nov.eight).

Although the tracks cowl very completely different phases of a relationship, from its blissful starting in “Blurry” to its painful finish in “25 in Barcelona." Saxe finds comparable feelings of affection and disconnect that carry each phases collectively.

“Both of those songs are about connecting,” Saxe tells Billboard. “One the place it was superior, and one the place it wasn’t. A number of my songs are on both facet of a sense like that, and this felt like probably the most trustworthy method to share them.”    

In “Blurry,” Saxe sings of a love between two folks that's so highly effective, all the pieces else round them appears to fade away. Saxe’s R&B vocals couple with a tender, however swelling piano melody, as he sings to his love, “Everything’s blurry however you.” With Saxe’s R&B croons artfully layered over a kaleidoscope of synths, “Blurry” creates a sonic haze that really underscores the music’s message of what it means to be misplaced in love. 

“25 in Barcelona,” which already has a music video, finds Saxe on the finish of the connection he sings about in “Blurry.” The textual content in the beginning of the music video explains he went on a visit to Barcelona together with his associates “in an effort to not be fucking depressing" on his birthday. The video is comprised of precise footage from his 25th birthday whereas the music was being written, demonstrating Saxe’s simple authenticity and robust private connection to the music he makes. With “25 in Barcelona,” Saxe works via his ache, after realizing that even after escaping midway internationally, his heartbreak will in the end catch as much as him. 

The Toronto native kicked off a brand new tour with Harry Hudson in Portland final night time (Nov. 7) and can hit 18 cities throughout North America via Dec. 16.
