The upcoming 2019 CMT Music Awards promises more performances than ever before. With the addition of the Ram Trucks Side Stage, country music’s up-and-coming talent will also have their time in the spotlight.
Jimmie Allen, Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Morgan Wallen, Runaway June and Tenille Townes are set to perform on the Ram Trucks Side Stage throughout the June 5 broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Each singer is nominated for the breakthrough video of the year award and will perform the songs from the videos they are being recognized for.
Allen will perform his debut single “Best Shot” while Davis will sing his second single “Take It From Me.” Tenpenny will take the stage for “Drunk Me” and Wallen will sing “Whiskey Glasses” while Townes will perform “Somebody’s Daughter.”
The country newcomers join an already stacked lineup that includes recently announced performers Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Brett Young, Zac Brown Band, Boyz II Men, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Tanya Tucker and Trombone Shorty.
Additional artists set to take the stage to sing at the 2019 CMT Music Awards are Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.
The 2019 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville on June 5 at 8 p.m. ET. Voting for the awards show remains open until 11:59 p.m. ET on June 4 vote.cmt.com.
