Jeezy is gearing up for a busy November. Just ahead of his highly-anticipated Verzuz bout with fellow trap pioneer T.I., The Snowman is planning to unleash the sequel to his 2008 chart-topping album The Recession album on November 20. The Atlanta staple revealed his plans with a trailer on Monday (November 9).
“12 years ago today I wrote The Recession, one of my best album to date,” he wrote. “As you can see we here again.”
The 43-year-old recently appeared on The Breakfast Club, where he spoke about how he initially wanted to squash his feud with Gucci Mane and face-off with Guwop in Season 2 of Verzuz, but Gucci declined the offer.
“I reached out, Swizz hit back and said he respectfully declined,” Jeezy explained. “Cool. Done. Kept it moving, I was gone do it for the culture. We could have did it for the culture. Hung up the phone, three minutes later, that when I seen my brother [T.I.’s] video calling me out. We could have done it for the culture. I’m in, it’s whatever.”
The first episode finds Jeezy chopping it up with author/life coach Tony Robbins and is available now. New episodes will be released every Monday with the limited series featuring eight in total. Jeezy has also promised to drop music alongside each episode.
