The song is the follow-up single to Aldean’s latest No. 1 hit, ‘You Make It Easy.’
As Jason Aldean rules the Country Airplay chart for a second week with his latest hit “You Make It Easy,” he's already working on getting another song to No. 1: his Miranda Lambert collaboration, titled “Drowns the Whiskey.”
Aldean dropped the lyric video for the Rearview Town track today (May 8), just one day after ficially releasing the song as the follow-up single to “You Make It Easy.” The video features shots Aldean and Lambert recording their parts in the studio, flashing between images people drinking and dancing at a bar as the lyrics — in Aldean's signature font, course — scroll across the screen.
“You Make It Easy” hit No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart last week (chart dated May 5) just 15 weeks after it hit the tally, more impressively earning Aldean his 18th No. 1 single on the chart. Rearview Town also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Aldean's fourth time doing so — also marking the first country album to top the chart this year.
On top all his recent chart successes, Aldean is kicking f his High Noon Neon Tour on May 10 in Kansas City. Check out the tour dates here, and watch the “Drowns the Whiskey” lyric video below.
