James Maslow Flies a Helicopter in Scorching ‘Love U Sober’ Exclusive

James Maslow has an epic love story to share in the cinematic video for "Love U Sober," premiering exclusively on Billboard today (June 5).

The clip features a whole lot of James Bond-esque components, like fire, pouring rain, helicopters (flown by Maslow, of course), and in perfect Bond fashion, a love interest. Dramatic? Sure, but that is exactly what makes it fun.

On the dance-tinged track, Maslow sings about a love that has him giving up the party life. "Every night I dream about you/ I'm in it for the rest of my life/ All I do is think about you," he croons.

The visual was directed by Michael B. Chait, who also directed the upcoming WWII action flick Wolf Hound, in which Maslow stars as a fighter pilot.

“I’m excited to finally share with the world the type of music and music video I’ve always wanted to make," the singer tells Billboard. "I had so much fun working with the director and damn near the whole crew from my movie Wolf Hound to create this video." Maslow plans to continue blending his music and film worlds, and hints that more is to come very soon.

Maslow will also be co-hosting the global talent show series The Big Stage alongside Elizabeth Stanton, which premieres on Friday (June 7) on 9/8 p.m. CT on the CW, with two 30-minute episodes airing back to back.

For now, go for a dramatic helicopter ride in Maslow's new video:
