James Arthur returns with a nostalgic, guitar-heavy new single "Empty Space," launched Columbia Records on Friday (Oct. 18).
“This track is for anybody who has ever deeply liked and misplaced somebody pricey to them, and is then confronted with the wrestle of making an attempt to fill that void," Arthur says in an emailed assertion. "It is about coming to phrases with the truth that solely that particular individual can actually fill the empty area.”
Arthur tries to beat the ache following a breakup with lyrics like "I don't see you/ You're not in each window I look via/ And I don't miss you/ You're not in each single factor I do." His slowed-down guitar riffs paired with a softer melody evoke robust emotions of nostalgia.
In the meantime, Arthur continues to work on his upcoming album with Ryan Tedder, Justin Tranter and Max Martin. The launch date of the undertaking has but to be introduced. The British singer-songwriter can even be featured on the rendition of "Rewrite the Stars" with Anne-Marie on The Greatest Showman - Reimagined soundtrack, obtainable on Nov. 16.
