J. Cole & Lil Pump May Have an Interview Together on the Way

The last song on J. Cole's newly released album KOD, "1985," finds a contemplative Cole dishing out gems to rap's younger generation, and many believed it was aimed directly at Lil Pump, who fired f on the "False Prophets" rapper in the 2017 song "Fuck J. Cole." However, a recently surfaced video revealed that Cole and Pump actually had a sit-down at Rolling Loud earlier this month and the full interview is expected to hit the internet very soon.

In a short clip, Pump is explaining a situation that involved a gun, presumably his arrest in January when he was arrested for firing f a gun in his San Fernando Valley home. "The weed shit,” Pump told Cole. “It] smelled like weed in the house. He just got tired that shit...So we started arguing and I told him the same shit like, ‘Bro, you’re fucking bombing,' and he got mad. He tried to fight me and shit and that’s when I pulled the strap out on him.”

Cole followed up by asking the "Gucci Gang" rapper, "Is that something you planned earlier?" before the interview got cut f.

In "1985," Cole advised the younger generation to focus on their "impact" and avoid getting caught up with the trappings success because that doesn't guarantee longevity. Pump seemingly replied to Cole's track in a video, calling the KOD rapper a "lame ass jit."
