Drake isn't wasting any time in getting back to work following the release his 25-track double album, Scorpion. One the project's standout cuts, "In My Feelings," looks to be the next single to receive the visual treatment. Spotify's Carl Chery posted a video featuring Drizzy's go-to director, 22-year-old Karena Evans, working her magic on set behind the camera.
The multi-talented Evans previously helmed the videos for all three Scorpion singles: "God's Plan," "Nice for What" and the Degrassi reunion that took place on "I'm Upset." The "In My Feelings" instrumental can be heard booming in the background Chery's clip as a group people dance around in front a New Orleans Dat Dog restaurant location.
"In My Feelings" samples 504 natives Lil Wayne and the late bounce artist Magnolia Short, so the New Orleans location choice would make sense. The tune has taken f as Drake's next potential summer anthem thanks to the "In My Feelings" dance challenge, which was sparked by Instagram comic TheShiggyShow. Celebrities, including Ciara, Odell Beckham Jr. and James Harden, have joined in on the viral sensation.
Even though Drake performed at London's Wireless Festival on Sunday, it seems the making his latest visual is well underway. "In My Feelings" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated July 14.
Billboard reached out to Drake's reps for comment. Check out the pair clips from the video set below.
