Illenium & Portugal. The Man Just Bet Each Other on the NBA Playoffs For Charity

Are you #TeamIllenium or #TeamPortugalTheMan? Maybe you like the bass-pop producer and the fun-loving rock band equally, so we'll put it to you like this: Do you represent for Denver or Portland?

The two cities are currently going head-to-head in the Western Conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs, and while Illenium wears the Denver Nuggets' blue and gold, Portugal. The Man waves the Portland Trail Blazers flag. It turns out both acts take their sports very seriously, and they also like to make a little mischief for a good cause. The band just publicly bet Illenium on the games, and the producer excitedly accepted. Loser has to donate sneakers for a youth team in the winner's city.

If Denver wins, Portugal. The Man will outfit its local Native American youth basketball team. If Portland wins, Illenium agrees to buy shoes for its NAYA team. No matter who loses, some lucky kids win big. Now it's hard to know which team to root for — unless you've got a horse in the race.

In case you're not a big basketball fan, the Nuggets beat the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the playoffs, while the Blazers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder. The two teams square off in the second game of their best-of-seven series in Denver tonight, after the Nuggets won Game One at home on Monday night. You can check out the competitive tweets below, and root for both acts to outfit the youth players if you feel like it. Good luck to everyone involved.
