Hootie and The Blowfish Announce 44-Date Group Therapy Tour

Barenaked Ladies will open all of the dates on the 2019 outing.

Hootie and The Blowfish are again.

The Grammy-winning pop rock group introduced on Monday morning (Dec. three) that they are going to be hitting the highway for the 44-date Group Therapy Tour with help on all of the dates from Barenaked Ladies. The announcement was first made on the Today present, with the tour slated to kick off on May 30 in Virginia Beach, Va. and wrap up on Sept. 13 with a homecoming gig in Columbia, S.C.

The outing is the primary full tour for the group — singer Darius Rucker, guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim Sonefeld — since they took a decade-long hiatus from the highway and will probably be paired with a brand new album, their first since 2005's Looking for Lucky; the title of the group's sixth album, due out by Universal Music Group Nashville, has not but been introduced.

Citi is the official presale bank card for the tour, with card members having access to presale tickets starting immediately at 10:00 a.m. native time till Thursday (Dec. 6) at 10:00 p.m. native time right here. Hootie fan membership members also can get entry to an unique pre-sale immediately beginning at 10:00 a.m. native time right here. "There’s nothing like taking part in music stay. For the primary time in practically 20 years we’ll be coming again to Columbia, South Carolina the place all of it started,” Bryan mentioned. "And we’re able to rock," added Rucker in a press release. The group reunited for one-night-only on July 21 for a present with headliner Jason Aldean on the new Atlanta Braves stadium.

During the group's hiatus, Rucker has launched a large nation music solo profession, releasing seven studio albums and scoring eight No. 1 singles, together with "Wagon Wheel," "If I Told You," "It Won't Be Like This For Long" and "Alright."
