Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard’s dance charts.
Sofi Tukker, "Purple Hat"
Sofi Tukker, the duo of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, pierces Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Nov. 2) at No. 45 with "Purple Hat." It's the act's third chart entry, following "That's It (I'm Crazy)" (No. 16, April 2018) and "Best Friend" (featuring NERVO, The Knocks and Alisa Ueno; No. 5, January 2018).
"Hat" earned 307,000 U.S. streams and sold 1,000 downloads in the tracking week ending Oct. 24, according to Nielsen Music. The latter figure is also good for a 16-13 rise on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, a new peak. "Hat" hails from Tukker's EP Dancing on the People, which reached No. 4 on Dance/Electronic Album Sales (Oct. 5).
Madeon, "Be Fine"
French producer Madeon motors onto Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 30 with "Be Fine." Madeon's 10th entry arrives with 667,000 Stateside streams and 1,000 sold, as it also starts at No. 18 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales. Madeon just launched the Good Faith Live Tour (named for sophomore set Good Faith, due Nov. 15) on Oct. 30 in Vancouver and has dates scheduled worldwide through April in Bogota, Columbia.
Ganja White Night, The One
Belgian dubstep act Ganja White Night, the duo of Benjamin Bayeul and Charlie Dodson, waltzes onto Dance/Electronic Album Sales at No. 11 with The One. The album matches the peak of the act's other charted set, The Origins (No. 11, February 2018). Ganja White Night began its The One Tour on Oct. 30 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and wraps the trek on Dec. 21 in Los Angeles.
