Telemundo unveiled its multi-platform coverage for the 2019 Latin American Music Awards, coining it as “the most robust to date," on Wednesday morning (Oct. 9).
The wide-ranging coverage on digital, social media and television will offer viewers an exclusive look at celebrity takeovers, behind the scenes, and more before, during, and after the coveted awards show.
During the week of the show, from Oct. 14-16, digital coverage will capture the rehearsals, feature Instagram takeovers, and exclusive chats on Twitter, as well as influencer activations throughout show week. LatinAMAs.com will also be posting daily exclusive backstage interviews with artists and hosts.
On the day of the show, Oct. 17, the “IG Story Cam” will give fans a sneak peek in real-time of all the backstage action leading up to the night. Television coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. ET with a one-hour red carpet special “La Alfombra de Latin AMAs” hosted by TV personalities Rashel Diaz, Rodner Figueroa, Jorge Bernal, and Jessica Carrillo.
Meanwhile, Telemundo’s Latinx Now! presenters, Christian Acosta, Nastassja Bolivar, and Claudia Vergara will be hosting an exclusive Livestream on Twitter, sponsored by Verizon, Toyota and Ulta Beauty. They will be joined by special guest Justin Sylvester and a musical performance by Rombai.
The fifth annual Latin AMAs will air live at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 17, from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood Telemundo. The award ceremony will also air simultaneously on Spanish-language entertainment cable network, Universo, and in 20 countries throughout the Americas Telemundo Internacional.
Airing at 11:35 p.m., “Latin AMAs: Acceso VIP” hosted by Carrillo, Stephanie “Chiquibaby” Himonidis, and Figueroa will close out the night, offering viewers more behind-the-scenes, candid moments, interviews with winners and performers, and surprise reactions.
