As Billboard’s Latin Power Player Executive of the Year, Cardenas thanks his colleagues and reveals his key ‘ingredients’ to a successful career.
Henry Cárdenas, founder/CEO of Cardenas Marketing Network, has been in the music industry for more than four decades, but when it comes down to it, three things have made his journey a success, says the Billboard Latin Power Player Executive of the Year.
"Responsibility," Cardenas said, as he addressed a room of colleagues, adding, that "you have to deliver good results, even if the competition is a strong billionaire, do not stop believing and insist on pushing doors. Remember, you have to help and contribute [to social causes]."
Hosted by Billboard's Leila Cobo, the event coincided with Billboard’s current annual Latin Power Players print issue during a daytime summit and cocktail reception, which was followed by Billboard's exclusive En Vivo concert (Oct. 15) at Neuehouse in Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group president Deanna Brown greeted the honorees and thanked them for their contributions.
"Thanks to the Latin industry … every single one of you in this room, it's because of you all that we've had such a growth," Brown said.
Celeste Zendejas director, creative services at SESAC, said that the honor of being named one of Billboard's Latin Power Player is indicative of Latin Music resonating around the world.
"To be able to make a difference within the Latin industry is rewarding especially during a time when Latin music is currently being recognized around the globe," Zendejas said.
